David Gutstein is a Vice President in Hematology Translational & Clinical Sciences at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals heading program teams addressing bleeding and clotting disorders. David received his BS and MD from Northwestern University. He trained in internal medicine at Harvard’s Beth Israel Hospital and in cardiology at Mount Sinai in New York. During his academic career at Mount Sinai and later at NYU, he garnered support from the National Institute of Health and the American Heart Association (AHA) and was honored with the Katz Basic Science Prize of the AHA for his work on molecular and cellular mechanisms of arrhythmias. David has led cardiovascular early development and cardiovascular discovery biology at Merck and Janssen Pharmaceuticals before his current position with Regeneron. To date, he has authored or co-authored over 75 peer-reviewed publications. He maintains an appointment as an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the New York University Medical Center.
