Valérie-Anne Chantrain, PT, MSc, worked as physiotherapist at the sleep laboratory of the Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc, Brussels, Belgium. After a strong clinical experience, she committed to the research project entitled “Gaining insight into the complexity of pain in people with haemophilia”. She is currently enrolled as PhD candidate at the University of Antwerp and UCLouvain (Belgium). Her doctoral research is the result of a close collaboration between pain scientists, haematologists and physiotherapists aiming at better understanding the associations between pain, joint damage and psychological factors in people with haemophilia. Her expertise in sleep medicine led her to focus on the interplay between sleep and pain in people with haemophilia.
