Paul McLaughlin works as a Clinical Academic Specialist Physiotherapist in Haemophilia at the Katharine Dormandy Haemophilia Centre at Royal Free Hospital in London, UK. In 2000 he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Ulster in Belfast, N Ireland, and his Master’s degree in Advanced Physiotherapy (Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation) at King’s College London in 2009.
He has recently completed his NIHR funded PhD which investigated the feasibility of an exercise based rehabilitation approach in the management of chronic pain associated with haemophilic arthropathy.
He is a founding member and current Chair of the EAHAD physiotherapy committee, a member of the musculoskeletal working party of the UKHCDO, and the Allied Health Professionals group representative on the UK NIHR Haematology Clinical Research Network. He is also a honorary Clinical Lecturer in the Research Department of Haematology at University College London.
