Prophylaxis: This session will discuss the indications for Von Willebrand factor concentrate prophylaxis, products available for prophylaxis, and prophylaxis regimens. Evidence supporting the use of prophylaxis in target populations will be reviewed as well as the evidence used to inform the ASH/ISTH/NHF/WFH VWF management guideline on prophylaxis. 
Application of VWD guidelines - lower income setting: A highlight on gaps in the knowledge of HCPs about diagnosis and management of VWD. Current guidelines on diagnosis and management are addressing HICs and there is a need to agree on basic set of testing for diagnosis of VWD that can be afforded by developing countries. Availability of VWF concentrates is limited in LMIC and very limited to LICs since a good part of HA donations are recombinant FVIII CFCs. Need to establish an MDT for care of patients with VWD, particularly for women’s health issues.
Aging, angiodysplasia: Vascular abnormalities of the GI tract such as angiodysplasia are one of the most challenging situations in VWD patients regarding diagnosis and treatment. These vascular abnormalities are observed more frequently in elderly patients but in VWD it is also observed in younger patients. Principle of diagnosis and care will be reviewed and discussed including the most recent therapeutic options that have been reported.
